Music in Action Key Stage 1

Music in Action Key Stage One is designed to help the classroom teacher implement the New National Curriculum in Music. The pack is simple to use with practical activities for the generalist class teacher.

Music in Action has been prepared to support the teacher and school by providing

• practical activities which give first hand experience of music to children
• ideas for development of the activity
• activities whose objectives are linked directly to the programmes of study
• practical guidance on assessing levels in music
• materials which will help to give the necessary confidence to teachers
• ideas for visual aids which are appropriate and relevant
  materials which will help to achieve a whole school approach to music
• a valuable framework for In-Service Training and staff development
