SING OUT PROJECT
On 28th and 29th June 2005, Wakefield Music Services will be presenting two concerts at Wakefield Theatre and Opera House. This is an opportunity to witness the results of the ‘Sing Out’ project that has been taking place over the year. More than three hundred children from two secondary and seven primary schools, will be performing. Carleton and Castleford High schools will provide a combined choir of over thirty boys who have been trained by Lance Jackson, a visiting singing teacher. They will perform on both nights. Due to the very large number of primary children participating, their performances will be spread over both nights. The primary project is led by singing teacher Jenny Burke, who has promised us an exciting and entertaining evening.
On Tuesday 28th June, Stanley, Wrenthorpe and St. John’s schools will perform.
On Wednesday 29th June, Lofthousegate, Newton Hill, Kirkhamgate and Jerry Clay Lane schools will perform.
Tickets will be available to the general public from the Opera House booking office after 17th June
