This year's Music Matters event will consist of three concerts, taking place on Thursday 10th March, Friday 11th March and Saturday 12th March at Wakefield Theatre Royal and Opera House. As we are expecting all concerts to sell out, it is advisable that anyone wanting tickets should book them as soon as possible from the theatre's booking office. In order to be fair to all families of those children taking part, the purchase of tickets will be restricted to two per child that is performing. If you require more than two tickets, any that are still available will be on general release from 1st March at the box office.

The schedule for the concerts is as follows:

Thursday 10th March

Outwood Area Music Centre Intermediate Strings
Ossett Music Centre Senior Orchestra
Central Area Music Centre Fiddle and Flute Group
Wakefield Youth Symphonic Wind Band

Friday 11th March

WMS String Project
Central Area Music Centre Big Band
Pontefract Music Centre Senior Strings
Wakefield Youth Choir

Saturday 12th March

Wakefield Youth Brass Band
Manygates Music Centre Wind Chamber Ensemble
Wakefield Youth Jazz Orchestra
Wakefield Youth Percussion Ensemble

There will be a rehearsal for many of the groups on Wednesday 9th March at the theatre. See below for the timings. It is very important that all those taking part should arrive promptly.
