Playing together in bands and orchestras is a very important part of learning to play a musical instrument. When a player has reached an appropriate standard, she/he is often expected to attend an ensemble class at a local Music Centre. The instrumental teacher will recommend when a pupil is ready to participate in such activities and will provide further information. Currently, there are five Music Centres throughout the Authority. These are:
Horbury and Ossett Music Centre
Fees are payable for attendance at ANY of the above Music Centres even if tuition is not received in school.
For further information call Wakefield Music Service on (01924) 303306 or speak to one of the Peripatetic Music Teachers who visit your school.
