Friday 16th March – 7pm – Youth Choir at Thornhill Parish Church
This will be our third performance at the lovely church at Thornhill and this time we will share the concert with New Mill Male Voice Choir. Everyone welcome. Directions will be sent at a later date.
Saturday 24th March – Music for Youth Regional Festival
We have entered choir for this festival which will take place at Outwood Academy. ‘Music for Youth’ is the biggest music festival in the world and we are looking forward to performing at this regional event. Similar events are being held across the country involving thousands of young performers. Some groups are then selected to perform in July at the Symphony Hall in Birmingham and the real accolade is to be chosen to be part of the ‘Music for Youth Proms’ held at the Royal Albert Hall in October!
The regional event at Outwood is taking place throughout the day on Saturday 24th March and once we have details of whether we are performing in the morning or afternoon session we’ll let you know. It goes without saying that we need 100% attendance for this please.
Friday 30th March – Billie’s Concert - St Wilfrid’s Catholic High School
This will be the sixth memorial concert for Billie Clayton and promises to have a surprise and famous musical guest!
Friday 27th April – Salvation Army Concert – Castleford
The proceeds of the concert will go to the ‘Grace’ fund that supports children in Africa
